課程概述 |
The spring semester course is geared toward one current international agenda, UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda of 17 Goals (SDGs), as established in September 2015 and implemented since January 1, 2016. The year 2020 will see the first five-year global progress review from 193 countries endorsing the 2030 Agenda. Taiwan launched its first voluntary country report in 2017 and the national SDG Indicators in 2018. By focusing on this international as well as domestic agenda, the course aims to provide opportunities for students to update their understanding of the issue in the context of global and our local efforts.
As last semester, most of the reading materials will be collected in a packet. Please note that these articles should not be considered writing models or “the” “right” views. Exemplifying both “good” and “not so good” rhetorical strategies, they are collected primarily for the purpose of examination and discussion. Hopefully, you’ll find them both helpful and enjoyable.
